Hello 5th Class!!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and got to enjoy some of the sunshine! Hopefully we are nearing the end of our time online learning and we will be back in the classroom very soon. I know some of you will have younger siblings who get to go back to school today which is hard however your turn is very VERY close!!! Try to stay focused for the next two weeks, you have all been doing a brilliant job and I am so proud of you all :-)
This week we have lots of lovely activities in store. It is both Engineers Week and World Book Week this week so we will be taking part in lots of lovely online workshops for both and completing lots of nice tasks instead of our usual English and Maths lesson which you will be glad to hear!!
Don't forget to get outside and keep moving, this is so important for our overall wellbeing which we will be learning about in SPHE over the coming couple of week. You have been doing a great job in our 5th V 6th Class PE Challenge, only a couple more weeks to earn points, so keep it up and hopefully we will be the winning class .... it's all up to you!!
I have attached any material you may need for this week. Any problems just get in touch on seesaw or send me an email on email@example.com

Hi 5th Class!
I hope you all had a lovely mid-term break and that you enjoyed both the snow and the sunshine during our week off!
We have lots to look forward to over the next couple of weeks. This week we will be learning about volcanoes in English, SESE and Art. We will be continuing our learning on the theme of ‘An Teilifís’ i nGaeilge, and in Maths we will move on to learning about Time. During the week we will read a great picture book called ‘Escape to Pompeii’. I have attached it as a PDF here if you want to download it and read it, however I will read it in our lesson too later in the week.
I hope you are all full of energy again, ready to get going with some more great work. You really have been doing such a great job and I am so proud of all of your efforts. Well done to all of those who are moving every day and taking part in our 5th V 6th Class P.E Challenge. I have heard that 5th class were in the lead so fingers crossed we have another great week!
Don’t forget to keep exploring ideas for our JEP. I will post a little update on ideas to date. There have been some really great ideas and lots of things to think about, I will include all of this in our JEP lesson this week.
Don’t forget to send me a little note, or an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are having any trouble with anything at all, I’m here to help!
Hello 5th Class,
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are ready for one more week of online learning before our mid-term break ... I can hear you all now saying yipeeeeee!!!! Well done last week on your work, I got some lovely photos of St. Brigid's Day crosses, some great soldier portraits, and lots and lots of brilliant written and oral work throughout the week, so well done to you all :-)
This week we will be reading about space in our English reader, exploring a new theme of 'An Teilifís' in Gaeilge, moving on to percentages in Maths and exploring the 7 continents of the world in SESE. Tuesday in 'Safer Internet Day' so we will complete some activities on this also. As well all of this, on Friday we will have our first class zoom session! I'm really looking forward to seeing all of your lovely faces again online! Don't forget to remind your parents and guardians to complete the online permission letter in order for you to take part on Friday (without permission you will not be allowed). I have attached a letter from Mrs. Kirby to your parents about this and I have also added it to seesaw. Our zoom session will start with a little fun activity and then we will discuss our JEP ideas. This is a big week for JEP so I need you all exploring ideas and sending them to me before our Zoom on Friday! :-)
5th Class are in the lead in our 5th V 6th P.E Challenge, well done! So keep up all of your movement challenges this week, every time you complete something you earn a point for the class!
See you all Friday!
Mrs. Kelly :-)
