6/16/2020 0 Comments Our Last Week!Hi everyone, I can't believe we have made it to our last week of the school year! The children have come such a long way since their first day in Junior Infants! What a year it has been! It has been my joy to teach such a cheerful, enthusiastic and loving class. I have missed them so much! Thank you all for your ongoing support and positivity throughout the school year and particularly when the school closed. You have been a pleasure to work with both in person and digitally! I am attaching the Junior Infant book return checklist to this post. Please return the items on the list and collect your child's belongings and end of year report during the specified times this week. Wishing you all a safe, happy and relaxing summer break! See you all soon. Best wishes, Ms Tansey ![]()

6/12/2020 0 Comments Week beginning 15th JuneAhoy Mateys! This week we are bringing out our inner pirates by learning the letter x and continuing our work on money. I have added some pirate activities to go along with this work but please don't feel any pressure to get through everything. Our main focus for this week is maths. I am really enjoying communicating with you all on Seesaw, it is great to see so many pictures and activities coming through every day. I am amazed with the work you are all doing at home, we are nearly there! You should be so proud of getting this far! Please keep the work coming on Seesaw :) Using the pirate code below, I found out that my pirate name is Eye-Patch Rattlebones! What is your pirate name? We are also thinking about things we treasure this week. Here are my three for today: 1. My family (None of them are pirates!) 2. Sunny days. 3. All of the boys and girls in Junior Infants! Louis, Michael D. Higgins and I are missing you all lots! Have a great week, Eye-Patch Rattlebones....

Hi everyone, I hope you really enjoyed last week's virtual school tour to Disneyland! I enjoyed it so much because I received the most fabulous videos and pictures and even voice notes of your writing, reading, weather charts, obstacle courses, Disney dance challenges in the sitting room, singing Disney songs, Mickey Mouse drawings, Disney playtime and toys! I also received some pictures and videos of your fabulous kites! It's lovely to hear your voices and see how you are getting on. Please keep them coming!! If you need help with SeeSaw, please contact me misstansey2020@gmail.com. This week we are putting a big focus on our Maths curriculum. Money is one of the most challenging areas in the Junior Infant curriculum. We has started it at school in March. This week we are focusing on 1c - 4c and how to make amounts using 1c and 2c coins. I have made two lesson videos which explain the process to the children and include some activities too. I hope you will find them useful! Most importantly, I hope you are all happy, safe and healthy! Looking forward to hearing from you this week, Ms Tansey ![]()

6/3/2020 0 Comments Virtual Sports Activities!Hi everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying your virtual school tour to Disneyland! I have received some fabulous videos and pictures on SeeSaw, please keep in touch regularly. If you are having any difficulty setting up SeeSaw, please get in touch misstansey2020@gmail.com. It is a quick and easy way to upload your children's work and allows the children to have regular feedback and communication from their teacher. Follow the link for Sports Week Activities! https://www.kilkerleyns.com/school-blog/its-virtual-sports-week Have a lovely day, Ms Tansey Hi everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the fabulous weather over the weekend! This Friday, the children would have been going on their first school tour! We have planned some activities based on the idea of a 'virtual school tour' for this week. A different week for the children to enjoy after all of their hard work over the past number of weeks (and the parents/guardians!). We will also be adding some sport's activities for the children to complete in place of our annual sport's evening. A reminder to check your emails for your child's SeeSaw login details. Thank you to those who have sent on work to me already. I hope it will be an easy way for us to communicate and for me to give feedback on the children's work! Have a great week everyone, Ms Tansey ![]()
