Junior Infants Blog
I hope you are all well and looking forward to the big day tomorrow. We will be waiting for you and your child at 9.30am tomorrow morning at the school gate in the Church carpark. We can't wait to see you all again!
Make sure you watch Violet from Senior Infants showing us around her classroom. Both infant classes will have a similar layout and routine and the video will give the children a great idea of what to expect. I will attach it to this blog post in case anyone missed it. I am also uploading a video of the Junior Infant classroom for the children.
I am uploading a lovely story called 'The Kissing Hand' which you might like to listen to with your child over the coming days. It is so important that your child's first day is as positive and calm as possible. It is not only a big milestone for the children, but also for you as parents/guardians. We hope you enjoy the excitement of the big day. Whilst you may be going through a mixture of emotions, try not to pass on any anxieties to your child. Most children settle into school quickly but do not be concerned if it takes a little longer. We are here to help and support your child as they begin their school journey.
Keep an eye on the email you provided to the school, I will be sending out instructions for setting up the SeeSaw app over the coming days.
Lastly, enjoy this very special day with your child.
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow,
We are looking forward to welcoming you all on Wednesday. Understandably some of the children may have concerns about what school life will look like. With this in mind Violet has helped us make a short video to highlight some of the changes and show that many things will be just like they always were. See you all on Wednesday!
