Sixth Class Work Update

Sixth Class Work Update
I hope everyone is keeping well and safe.  Well done to anyone that has uploaded work already, be sure to check for feedback underneath your projects and written work.
Here are some more Titanic themed activities for the next few days:
  • Create a model of the Titanic using Lego or recycled materials.  Will it float unlike its namesake?  If you can send a picture or video to the class gmaill account sixthclass@kilkerleyns.ie that would be fantastic!
  • On Google docs complete the following activities:
  1. What three regulations would you have insisted on if you were in charge of health and safety at Harland and Wolff in 1912?
  2. Imagine that you are a passenger on the Titanic.  What three questions would you ask the ship’s captain?
  3. Write a story titled ‘My Lucky Escape- How I survived the Sinking of the Titanic’.
  • I have created a file ‘A Titanic Maths Problem’ on Goolge Docs. It might be best to download and print it out if you can.  If you would like to email the answers to the sixth class email I can correct them for you.  Some of the questions are a little tricky so try your best!
Also remember it’s Mother’s Day on Sunday so perhaps write a poem and create a card telling your Mammy all the reasons why she is so wonderful.
Keep up typing practice and continue work in your handwriting books too.  Most importantly keep washing those hands, help out at home and get lots of physical activity each day.
Anyone that has any questions you can email me on the sixth class gmail account.
Ms Condron
