I am still learning about it, but I think it is a great resource. Please continue to upload your work on it. This week I am just giving English, Irish and Maths work and please do what you can of the following work. English: Spellings- shook, often, picture, future, nature, creature, fracture, adventure, mouse, mice Dictation: Your spare wheel has a puncture. Come and photograph this creature. Is the mixture ready to go in the oven? Put your spellings into sentences. Skills Book: Pages 95, 96, 97, 98, 99 Handwriting: Please do two more pages of either the large handwriting book or the small handwriting book. Oral Language: Go onto CJfallon website; go to Quicklinks which is at the top right of the website, Click on OLP-J1 to 2ND. We will revise unit 2 The Cinema. Go to Unit 2: Visit to the Cinema. Listen to the interactive power point and complete the games. Creative Writing: Write a story about a trip to the cinema. Draw a poster of your favourite film and write a story telling me why this is your favourite film. I would like you to have a little think about the following: Is it better to see a film on TV or in the cinema? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both options? Write about some of the advantages and disadvantages. Reading: Reading: Reader - Novel “One Wish”. Read chapter 3- 12 Please send me a recording of you reading a page of your choice. https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk/books/free-ebooks there is a number of books available here for you to read online. You just need to set up an account and you have lots of access to readers. (This is a wonderful resource, the children will really benefit from reading these books.) Continue reading any books you have at home Maths: Area: 148- 151 I have attached videos for some of these pages. Go to CJFallon, click on student resources, then filter to 2nd class, Busy at Maths and in the right corner click interactive. Go to page 8 and there are interactive games linked to area. They are labelled page148, 149, 150, 151. Subtraction 4: pages 152- 156 I have attached videos for these pages also. Please also use the interactive games on the Busy at Maths website. Two- step number problems page157-162 I have attached videos for these pages also. Please also use the interactive games on the Busy at Maths Website. A quick Look back 10- page 164 Gaeilge: If you go to folensonline.ie you can access our Gaeilge programme ‘Abair Liom D’ Go to FolensOnline.ie and click register Select Teacher Fill in a username, email and password For Roll Number use the code: Prim20 Once you have an account the children can click on the ‘resources’ part of the Abair Liom D book and access all the games, songs and poems they have been learning all year. For the next theme – go to lesson 29 pages 140- 143.
