Monday 18th - Friday 22nd May

Hello to everyone in Second Class, I hope you are all well and enjoyed the nice sunshine over the weekend.  Thanks very much for your emails it was lovely to read your messages and see some of your lovely work. I’ll look forward to seeing more of your work this week.  My Email address is Katrinacumiskey@gmail.com

Religion: I know this week should have been a very busy and exciting week at school practicing for our First Holy Communion and it is so unfortunate that we can’t celebrate it as planned, however we will all look forward to a new date when it is safer to do so and we will have a fantastic day.  Fr Brian has very kindly organised to say a special mass for all the First Communicants on Saturday evening and everyone’s name will be mentioned in the mass. You can watch this mass on the church webcam (click here for link). I hope you can all join Fr Brian for this mass.
As part of your Religion homework, I would like you to draw a picture of something linked to First Holy Communion. It could be your favourite Do This In Memory Mass, a picture of the host and chalice, bread and grapes or a picture of what you might look like on your First Holy Communion Day. I would like you to email me these drawings and we would like to include them in our News Letter.

Ask them to make big and small angles with the two lollipop sticks or by opening the scissors. Instruct them to make angles that are big and small. Explain to them that a corner is a right angle. Explore how they can make right angles with their bodies, for example, by bending their arm at the elbow or by bending their leg at the knee.
