In Q4. we have to read a written problem, form our equation and then solve it. Although you might know the answer to the equation by simply reading the problem, the focus of this question is on forming the equation not just solving for the variable so make sure you write the equation too. They are a little challenging so in the final video below I have worked through an example of each one. My advice would be to watch the video clip one example at a time pausing to solve the equation in the book after each one. Equations play a big part of the maths course in secondary school so it's important to take your time with these to ensure you fully understand them. If you would like to practice or more of a challenge Khan Academy have some below, they also have videos explaining how to find the solution if you're stuck. https://www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra-home/alg-basic-eq-ineq/alg-one-step-add-sub-equations/e/one_step_equations?modal=1 Addition and subtraction equations https://www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra-home/alg-basic-eq-ineq/alg-one-step-add-sub-equations/e/one-step-add-sub-equations-2?modal=1 Addition and subtraction equations with fractions and decimals Keep up the good work!
