Welcome Back!

Good Morning Everybody and Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Christmas.  It’s very disappointing that we’re starting this term from home but just like the last time it will ensure we are all kept safe and well for the next number of weeks.

Now for the fun part:
Every Monday morning I will upload a timetable of work to both the blog and SeeSaw to be completed each day that week.  It is in a PDF below so can be downloaded and printed off.  Some of the activities can be completed using the books you took home before Christmas and some will be on SeeSaw.  It’s important to remember that you are in sixth class now so you need to stay focused and try to complete the lessons to the best of your ability.

As we are all set up on SeeSaw, each morning I will upload your lessons for that day- this might be some videos to help explain maths, some oral work in Gaeilge or explaining how to complete an activity in your Skills Book etc.  You can attach your responses and work to the activity- these can be photos of written work or typing the answers on SeeSaw etc.  I will upload the answers to your maths questions each afternoon for self correction but I would still encourage you to send on a photo of your work as it helps me to understand how everybody is getting on.

Just like in class some of you may need a little extra help or may not get everything finished.  If you are finding the workload a challenge please message me on SeeSaw or email me on my teacher email: mcondron@kilkerleyns.ie and I can give you further assistance.  Similarly for anybody that is completing the timetabled work each day in a short space of time you can choose from a list of suggested activities for the week. Also if there is a topic/story/project you’ve always wanted to look in to go for it, this is a wonderful opportunity to practice your independent learning. Anyone that goes to Ms Fahy she will be in touch over the coming days.

Remember your passwords for SeeSaw are in your folders and also glued into the front of your homework diaries, along with your Spellings for Me login details.  If you have lost them please message me and I can forward them on.

Fingers crossed we will all return at the start of February, you have so much to look forward to in your final six months of school life in Scoil Mhuire gan Smál!
