Work for Week starting June 2nd

Bonjour tout le monde!

Hope you enjoyed the fabulous weather over the weekend!
This week we should have been heading to Carlingford for our school tour.  Unfortunately that won’t be happening however we will be jetting off on a virtual tour to ........
Paris!
Picture
Pop on some French music in the video to the left and
start the day with a French breakfast, maybe a croissant or pain au chocolat or a slice or brioche with butter and jam and a hot chocolate.
Then click the link below to begin our virtual tour of Paris.

This week all our activities are based on our tour to Paris no need to do spellings, Racing ahead, MYM etc. there's no space for them in our luggage!

Bon Voyage!

English:
Using your tour above and some of the information below imagine you are a travel journalist and write a report on Paris.  Your subheadings could include some of the sights you found most interesting.

Art:
Notre Dame Cathedral and Saint Chapelle are famous for their beautiful rose windows.  Can you design your own rose window?  Use the video below to help.  If you’re really stuck there’s a template below too.

Geography:
We will need good map reading skills to navigate around Paris.  Download the map and activities attached below and answer the questions.

Maths:
Time to plan a real life trip to Paris for you and a friend, you have a budget of €600 each.
Things to consider when planning your trip:
When will you travel?
For how many nights? (we’re pretending the world is pandemic free for this one)
Where will you fly to and from?
Where will you stay?
What attractions will you see?
Remember to include:
  • Flights
  • Accommodation
  • Entry Fees for sights

This week we will also have our virtual Sports Day.  Ms Fahy has uploaded lots of super ideas on the main blog page for this.  Remember now that SeeSaw is up and running for the class you can send on work through the app if you'd like.  Of course you can still contact me on the sixth class email if you have any questions.
Have a great week,

Ms Condron.
