Work for week starting June 8th

Morning Everyone,
Hope you’re all not too exhausted after our big virtual trip to Paris last week!  Thanks for forwarding pictures, videos and files of your work, I have some uploaded below.  Anyone that’s using SeeSaw I hope you’re finding it easy to use and not laughing too much at my terrible voice comments!  As we only have two full weeks with our text books left we’re going to make a good push this week to get as much completed as we can, especially in maths, so please focus your attention in this area- you will notice I haven’t uploaded as much work in other subjects to give you time to do this.

Maths:
  • As we had looked at Pie Charts before we closed in March we’ll be moving straight on to Chapter 31 this week, Weight, Pgs- 162-167.  At this point it’s more of a revision topic and a really great chance to practice your skills in multiplication, division, decimals and fractions (I can hear you all collectively cheering from here!)  Although it’s revision I’ll upload some videos in a separate blog each day to help.
  • Our Kahoot this week will be based on Chapter 32 – Revision of 3D shapes, you don’t need to do any written activities but take a look over it for revision.
  • Below I’ve attached the answers for Master Your Maths so you can self-correct the Friday tests.

English:
  • In Racing Ahead this week you can choose between the fictional stories Animal Farm Pg. 244 or Frozen North Pg 256 and the activities on each chapter Pgs. 254-255 OR Pgs. 264-265 depending on which story you choose.
  • Free writing- Compose either a poem or a letter to your class mates reflecting on your time together at school as the year draws to a close.  I would be really impressed if anyone chose to record theirs on the SeeSaw app (voice or video).
Gaeilge:
  • Grammar- Pg. 18 in you Irish Verbs Made Easy workbook- Use Pgs. 180-182 in you Abair Liom to help
Art :
  • Create a ‘Memory Wheel’, of your time at school- from Junior Infants to 6th class and everything in-between.  Choose your top 8 favourite memories and represent each one in a section of the wheel.  Template is attached below.
