Easter Week – 3rd Class

Hello 3rd class and parents!

This would have been the week where you get your Easter holidays but you've had two weeks at home and I hope you are all keeping safe, staying at home, helping around the house and getting plenty of outdoor activity!

I would ask you all to continue with the work I’ve already given you this week plus on www.twinkl.ie there are homepacks for Easter which contain Maths, English, Irish worksheets etc, and plenty of fun activities also. These are not ordinary school days so do some school work, read plenty and maybe learn a new skill eg, baking, gardening.

Have a great Easter both pupils and parents alike and hopefully we’ll see you all soon!!

Hello from Mr Loughran!

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all keeping well and looking after everyone in your house! It’s very strange being off school and I have to say, I do miss it! The most important thing is keeping safe and staying at home! Any little bit of school work you get done is brilliant for your brain and you want to keep that up over the next few weeks! I’ll be sending on some more ideas and websites for you tomorrow just to keep your brain ticking over .

I’m teaching my own kids at home and we always start the day with 20-30 minutes exercise, just like our daily laps! These are some of the things we do -
  • Football in the garden
  • Joe Wicks-Live on Youtube!
  • Bikes around the house
  • Trampoline
  • Any sort of exercise to get you out of breath!

Our day roughly lasts from 9:00 – 12:30 covering  the following ( this is a very flexible timetable with cups of tea allowed on the table )!
  1. Exercise 9-9:30
  2. Maths 9:30-10:15
  3. Spelling / Sentences 10:15-10:30
  4. Break 10:30 – 11:00
  5. English 11:00-12:00
  6. 12:00-12:30 Reading ( SESE Text Books will also provide great reading + Get Set! 3 have some fantastic stories in them too! READ! READ! READ!
  7. 12:30 – art / painting / outside play / bikes / build with lego / let your imagination run wild
