3/30/2020 0 Comments Easter Week – 3rd ClassHello 3rd class and parents!
This would have been the week where you get your Easter holidays but you've had two weeks at home and I hope you are all keeping safe, staying at home, helping around the house and getting plenty of outdoor activity! I would ask you all to continue with the work I’ve already given you this week plus on www.twinkl.ie there are homepacks for Easter which contain Maths, English, Irish worksheets etc, and plenty of fun activities also. These are not ordinary school days so do some school work, read plenty and maybe learn a new skill eg, baking, gardening. Have a great Easter both pupils and parents alike and hopefully we’ll see you all soon!! Mr Loughran

3/24/2020 0 Comments Hello from Mr Loughran!Hello everyone! I hope you’re all keeping well and looking after everyone in your house! It’s very strange being off school and I have to say, I do miss it! The most important thing is keeping safe and staying at home! Any little bit of school work you get done is brilliant for your brain and you want to keep that up over the next few weeks! I’ll be sending on some more ideas and websites for you tomorrow just to keep your brain ticking over .
I’m teaching my own kids at home and we always start the day with 20-30 minutes exercise, just like our daily laps! These are some of the things we do -
Our day roughly lasts from 9:00 – 12:30 covering the following ( this is a very flexible timetable with cups of tea allowed on the table )!
USEFUL WEBSITES Reading – Audiobooks - multilevels www.readinga-z.com / razkids.com – both the same essentially Username: Peteloughran Password: Bandits-02 Instructions – click on RESOURCES, then ALL LEVELLED BOOKS, then browse through alphabet letters to find a level, age appropriate etc. Just let cursor sit on a letter to see what age it is for – over 1,300 books, worksheets, comprehensions etc. Sight Words / High Frequency Words / Tricky Words www.candohelper.com A multitude of resources here. I tend to use the following –
www.coolmaths.com www.ictgames.com ( number bingo is a favourite! Download playing cards and let rip!) Irish www.folensonline.ie – ebook for Abair Liom 3 plus all Resources – “ Éadaí” is the theme for this month www.twinkl.ie – tons of stuff on here / powerpoints, worksheets, quizzes, comprehensions, mindfulness colouring sheets So that’s a little flavour of what can keep you busy for a few hours each day! So STAY SAFE, STAY AT HOME – help out around the house, get lots of fresh air, roll around in the mud, jump in puddles and most of all ENJOY SPENDING TIME AT HOME WITH YOUR FAMILY! |
