Music Ensemble and Choir
In Scoil Mhuire gan Smál we encourage our children to showcase all of their talents. Children from 3rd to 6th class participate in either our School Choir or our Music Ensemble.
Our Choir and Ensemble have weekly rehearsals. During rehearsals children learn a mixture of popular, classical and traditional songs and pieces and have access to a wide variety of instruments available in our school.
Our Choir and Ensemble perform at celebratory and sacramental events held in our school.
In 2019 we entered the 'Waltons Music for Schools Competition', a national competition and celebration of music in Irish schools. This was the first time we entered this competition. We are thrilled to have received a 'Highly Commended' accolade in the Primary School Category.
